Animal rights activists yesterday blockaded a Leeds incinerator involved in the disposal of beagle dogs bred for use in vivisection.
SRCL, who operate one of their main facilities at Cross Green, was blocked for nearly three hours following activists chaining themselves together in the road leading into the site.
The company deal with Harlan Interfauna, in Cambridgeshire, who were exposed earlier in the year for punching and kicking beagle dogs being bred for research.
Four arrests were made in Leeds as part of the Nationwide Day of Action Against SRCL.
